A Bargain is where you find it. And we are looking for them! Below and on associated links you will find the mainstream bargain hunters' sites. On other pages you will find more specific links and articles for other areas of interest.
Happy Shopping!
- WOOT! (woot.com) comes up with some very nice finds, and shipping is always $5. And if you're not sure about something on one of their offerings, jump into the "Discuss this" link and see what people are saying. The discussions start bright and early (each offering changes at midnight) with some pretty critical analyses -- oh, and the write-ups are a gem unto themselves ;)
- 35 Minutes to Riches by CNNMoney.com A nice little rundown on 47 ways (and the time it takes for each) to get your financial life in order. Good read! Also see the yahoo story for easier viewing here.
- Wiser Women's Institute for a Secure Retirement Provides low and moderate income women (aged 18 to 65) with basic financial information aimed at helping them take financial control over their lives.
- ConsumerWorld.org is full of stuff! From banking to telephone service to airfares to the dirt on the too-goods, take a look here.
- MousePrint.org is full of information on offers and the strings connected to them. Aka, the fine print, they read it and research it so we don't have to!
- Shopping.com is a great place to compare prices on your search items. Of course, they have the search facilities for anything you're shopping for. Just type it in and go! Comparison shopping a la carte.
- DealTime is another good comparison search site. Associated with shopping.com and epinions, they do a great job of giving you lots of sorting and searching options and lists of reviews, when available.
- BlinkList has lots of finds. A community-driven site, members recommend and rate sites and products and services. Great job of finding some unique things.
- Trezr (Treasure) has a lot of stuff too. Like blinklist, Trezr.com is a community site with the associated rankings and forums. Another site with lots to find.
- Shopping-bargains.com has LOTS of coupons to use. Coupons for everything from back-to-school at Walmart to shoes at Zappos to swimsuits and software. Handy stuff.
- Shopzilla.com is another comprehensive shopping search engine.
- Bizrate.com is associated with Shopzilla. It is good for comparison shopping, too.
- Ebay! Can't forget about ebay! Although many of the "sales" you find are the same (or more) than you'll find in other store locations, there are still many auction bidding opportunities to get the most bang for your buck on ebay.
